I don't think I'd really like to experience either acceleration... the dragsters are pretty scary, 0-100 mph in one second flat, not bad with internal combustion and rubber tires on pavement.
The "Superman - the Escape" ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain goes to 100 mph in 7 seconds, and that's impressive enough for regular folks.
0-100 in 1 sec works out to about 4.6 Gs I think - at that rate, it would only take... hmm... 6.7 million seconds to reach light speed, or about 77 days. Could get kind of tiring...
