I love the smell of two-strokes in the morning!
Problem is, a lot of the areas where ATVs and the like are drawing complaints were well-established sites on public lands.
The options of location available to the whiners far out number the dwindling real estate accessible to us mechanized freaks.
It just like the morons that move next to an airport and then complain about the noise.
I think the use of such aircraft will be much less prevalent than the current operation of ultra-lights, mainly due to cost.
