Here's the scoop from my point of view. It's pointless to spend millions (and probably even billions by now!) of dollars searching for life on other planets. I can tell you why there is life on Earth and on Earth alone.

The first words of the first book of the Bible state: "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was without form and void and darkness moved upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved about the face of the waters." The book of Genesis goes on to detail exactly how Earth was made hospitable for mankind including the atmosphere, plants, and even man himself in six literal days.

I wish the government would stop spending our tax money on pointless endeavors.
