Hi Board

The whole point of the Genesis account is the Sabbath not information about origins. All the best evidence indicates it was written c. 550 BC by the same priestly crowd that Ezra came from and that produced the Jewish Torah.

That the Bible has a history and is not dropped out of the sky by angels frightens some people. That science has more to say about the world than antiquated tribal cosmology is also a terrifying thought for people like Rhonda.

We do better explaining why we think SETI and Origins research is worthwhile rather than trashing Bible-thumpers' world views.

PS when will fundamentalists actually read some modern science rather than Creationist trash?
