This is a privately run forum, Barry. If someone had you over to their house and you offend them. They could reasonably ask you to leave! It is the same thing here.
I think you should be allowed to post unless you are just being rude and offensive.

The only reason certain people like you want me banned is so I don't expose this kind of outrage. There is nothing scientific about it. It is all show. To back this up read this quote from a New York Times article. You decide:
Chris writes: Barry, you don't get it and seem to be unwilling to checkout what Human Factors are. Do you even understand what the words analog or model or simulation mean? I can claim a computer simulation as NASA, the Air Force and Airlines do with plywood and fiberglass box are like flying and you seem to get that. Is it because we don't have hydraulics shaking the Hab that you don't get our simulations?

"The six recent pilgrims are practicing something even stranger
and more isolating -- living on Mars. They go outside in white canvas space
suits trimmed in duct tape. Their helmets are made from plastic light
fixtures and white bullet-shaped trash-can lids. In their habitation module
(the thing that looks like a silo), they sit with their laptops late into
the cold desert night, typing up reports of simulated Mars disasters."
Is the above real science or theatre?
Chris writes: It's the media feeding "facts" and "perceptions" to people as stupid as you is all. BTW what is wrong with theater? Maybe that is what is missing in your life. You remind me of the time when people thought acting was some kind of prostitution. Acting is a form of simulation. If you try to document and interpret simulations then it could be a form of science. If you redesign suits and hardware to reflect these simulations then it could also be engineering. Varying branches of the government runs drills were people act like their injured. Is this a waste of time? Psychiatry has had patients act out mental problems to resolve them for decades. Is this just a waste of time? (Okay, this one isn't the best example as not everyone is cured. Still, it works for some people.)
Let's ask Larry Kuznetz if he wants to be associated with you, Barry. BTW last time I talked with him larry was working at NASA/JSC. When he was at Berkeley, some of my TMS friends took his space suit design classes...

PS no "plastic light fixtures" were harmed during the construction of helmets for "space suits" for the Mars Society. So much for media accuracy...
