There was a post a while back that you mentioned thermal considerations and your optical setup in a Keck.

What flavor of laser do you use? I'm assuming the Sodium yellow
wavelength, and I know that Argon lasers have been used for
this but I'm guessing there are solid state lasers that could do
a better job. Hmmmm.....Google. Dye laser pumped by
532nm Nd:YAG? Something like that?
