There are a whole lot more theoretical studies than this one: many, many of them in fact, and if you bothered to read my coverage, you could find them.

Ignoring the "theoretical" for the time being, the real data on recent impact events is being worked up by about 14 people. I'm one of them and I know the rest quite well.

Now if those Mars blinders that are permanently stuck to your face prevent you from understanding that this is a real hazard that is simply too ef'ing bad. The idea here is simply prevent you from sharing your willing ignorance.

My opinion, based on very close observation and personal experience, is that you and your Mars buddies are "vicious swine", to use Hunter Thompson's phrase.
