Ok, well, I was outside for several hours and had a look at the Moon, Saturn, and just a few minutes ago at Jupiter (one of its moons just appeared outside of the disk).
Saturn is gorgeous (got it through the ETX90, a 6.4mm eyepiece with a Barlow 2x lens. Never seen it so clearly (with a scope, the brightness of the Moon matters less. (The Moon is still on its left). The Moon is great too: very good details on Aristarchus and Schröter vallei. Other very bright spots are Proclus near Palus Somni and Menelaus near Mare Serenitatis. Also, I found Taurus Littrow notably darker than Mare Serenitatis!
(It may have nothing to do, but the rock brought back by Jack, which was exposed at Frank's hometown, last friday, also was very black.
I've got a problem with my portable PC and am not sure if the pictures were saved.
But it looks like all it takes is a clear night!
Good luck to Steve, Del, Phil and all the other telescope owners!
