The answers to most of your questions are as obvious as your self contradiction over your "added cost to satellite makers" comment. Most of them have already been answered.
Case in point: Magnum was designed to support manned spaceflight beyond LEO by providing the far more lift capacity than currently available. Do you see an existing Market? If not perhaps that's why it hasn't been built. It would take a commitment to return to the Moon or going on to Mars to justify building it. Once it was built, commercial enterprise could take advantage of its higher capacity and lower cost than the shuttle if they wanted as I pointed out in earlier posts, but they would be mad to bankroll it with no clear payback.
Why do you ask such dumb questions with such arrogance? I always try to encourage new posters that no question is a dumb one, but you have been around enough and are certainly widely read enough to know better. You have also been involved in debating these issues over and over. You should be able to answer this stuff yourself if you were 10% as knowlegeble as you think you are or absorbed 10% of the information handed to you in these debates over the years. I dislike EP and BD because of what I perceive as intentional dishonesty and dirty tricks, but you frustrate more than anyone else because I feel you are honest and well intentioned, yet are like talking to a brick wall.

Mark
