Did anyone catch the re-make of Well's Time Machine, with Jeremy Irons and some other folks? I missed it when it came out originally and just caught it on DVD.

I was startled at the anti-space message incorporated into it. In the early film the earth is destroyed by nuclear war. In this film the earth is destroyed by a space-business detonating a nuke on the moon to build underground colonies, causing the moon to fragment and pulverize the surface of the earth.

While I would definitely not recommend nuclear bomb usage on the moon, due to it's lifeless core - the moon is impacted by asteroids which clearly hit with a very forceful impact and it has survived.

I interpreted this as a very clear anti-space message and as a result a very anti-space film.

It makes me wonder how many other films out there I miss, which are also are constantly shoveling anti-space messages to the next generations.

Saddened by societies lack of vision and initiative I remain,
