That was something, wasn't it!
I think a bit of each of us rode with them, that part of our souls which is both terrified and fascinated by solitude, which is endlessly curious, and fearfully eager for surprise.
I know I felt almost as if I were there with them, in a way which I didn't for any other part of the program. I could relate with them.
In that way, to me, that first loop around the Moon was as dramatic as any other space event.
