Read some books about Mao's China...it's NOT the same place.
Some great books by Chinese women have come out over the years telling true life stories.

China is an evil empire - under Mao it was insanely evil.
I wouldn't trust most Chinese politicians further than I could throw them.
Space transcends things but their space program is not about exploration - but prestige and domination.
Sure I wish them luck - but I won't be cheering from the sidelines.
