What is happening to the Falklands?

Or Malvinas islands, offshore Argentina. Remember there was a war over them a while back with the Brits.

ANyway, in the seas north and west of the Falklands is a great swath of light. As far as i recall, there are no huge gas fields there flaring. There's no land, so what is it? Fishing fleets?
