About the elderly couple who had a child late in life? Good kid, but one thing. He was born with just a head. No body, just a head.

He was easy to raise. Home-schooled, learned OK, and at night they just rolled him onto a pillow in the corner.

When he turned 21 his father thought he'd take his son to the tavern where he stopped and had a few brews every night on his way home from work. Introduce him to the boys.

Carried the kid in under his arm, introduced him to everyone, and put him on the bar.

Poured a beer into him, and another. The kid sprouted a very small body. A few more beers, the body got larger, and larger.

The kid got big enough he climbed down from the bar, and started drinking everyones beers. Then he poured himself a few pitchers.

And he kept growing. And growing. He became enormous. People trembled, and those who could got out the door.

Finally, when the kid had his head under the tap, he blew up. Beer, and "stuff" everywhere. Literally everywhere, all over, people were dripping with it.

The father was disconsolate, beyond comforting. His only son was, well, not quite "gone", but certainly not viable.

The bartender, who had been laying down behind the bar, stood up, looked around at the mess, and said,

"He should have quit when he was a head!"
