We are at a cross roads or a "saddle point" as I prefer to call it. There seems to be two paths ahead of us.

One path leads to unlimited growth as our civilization spreads across the Solar System, building up to the critical economic and technological mass that enables us to build interstellar spacecraft.

The other path leads to the abandonment of Space Exploration, followed by entrapment on the Earth leading to overpopulation coupled with resource depletion. What follows from there is hard to perdict, e.g. Green Naziism, economic collapse to a 17th century economy, etc.

For reasons beyond my understanding, it seems the second path (racial suicide) is being chosen.

Whys is this happening?
