The most remote likelihood that a terrorist 'snuck up' to the Columbia on the launch-pad, days before launch, and planted "something" hidden inside the shuttle's innards...is at best, extremely unlikely...at worst, a nutty theory.
I don't think that even N. Korea's
leaders would be so insane as to launch
a Taepodong rocket into the orbital path of a shuttle, since such a Taepodong launch and trajectory would be tracked from space and at NORAD.
