It is a sad day for the families of the crew and I wish them all strength in this time.
I agree, if they determine exactly what the failure was and can redesign to prevent it from happening again then flights will resume soon. I doubt more than six months to a year will go by without a return to space. The country needs the shuttle flying as much as our partners in the ISS need it...
