Like you, I was awakened by this terrible news, and like you, I am stunned and saddened beyond words. It feels like someone's pulled my insides out. Although you and I have many disagreements, this tragedy is something that affects many people very deeply. The cost of exploration and knowledge are sometimes very high, and these fine people paid with their lives so that the rest of us could gain in understanding. We should mourn for our fallen heroes then press ahead with renewed vigor and determination. Turning back is not an option; we must move forward and upward. It's the only way our species knows.
