As a word of caution, when you mention Nukes in space.
Remember that Columbia was never supposed to crash, so when "we" reasure the "loony fringe" environmentalists that a nuclear reactor in space is "totally safe" then do them the respect of not totally scoffing at their fears.
Accidents do happen, with tragic consequences. We need to design everything that we build so that if and when there is an accident, it only has local effects, not regional or global ones.
