Re-entry Vs Nuke

I get the KE the shuttle needs to dissapate upon re-entry is 3.2 Trillion Joules, for comparison a 1 kiloton nuke releases 4.2 Trillion joules...

You may want to check my math... I am a little short on O2 right now...
