We can’t forget the basic concept- for something to be invisible; light has to pass through it. With the right technology, this could be accomplished electronically. The basic principle is to have some kind of camera capture the light and then display this image on the opposite side of the object. With micro-cameras and micro-displays, perhaps and ‘invisible skin’ could be created.
