Ya, those little balck things. They were swarming my legs (I was in shorts, it was 78 degrees at the summit) when I got to the Keck parking lot.
It'll be a while before I can get started on my post grad work, so I don't plan on getting a job there any time soon, I'm betting a BS just won't cut the mustard for most positions.
Have fun up there! I hope to visit again summer after next. My best friend lives in Hilo and her hubby is the manager at the water bottling plant, so I have a free place to stay. Maybe I can meet ya and say hi!
