Re: I am getting more and more p'd off

I think asteroids should be studied for resources and as impact hazards. Asteroid resources could go a long way to getting humans into space permanently.

There is no reason why NASA couldn’t study asteroids for their resources and for keeping them from smashing in the Earth.

I still like my idea of mining potentially dangerous asteroids until there is nothing left to be a hazard. Over time, this could be done to all the NEA.

To make this a reality, there would have to be a lot of R&D on how to mine and process material in Space. An infrastructure needs to be in place. This infrastructure will require cargo type ship to ferry the raw material to processing plants in Earth’s orbit, or perhaps on the Moon.

The type of infrastructure I would like to see uses modular type equipment that can be produced on an assembly line and be interchangeable to create various types of crafts.

NASA’s main long term could should be to ‘live off the land’ as much as possible.
