I was just passing on the author's claims and I suspect that it really does work and doesn't leak. The lightbulb concept is different to the other GCNR concepts out there [same swirling nuclear vortex, but I think the vortex control is via jets of the fuel itself, not H2 and the thermal coupling is chiefly via radiation not conduction] and has been around since the 1960s, at least conceptually.
