Sony introduces new Blue Laser DVD recorder
Each disc holds 23 Gigabytes of data, enough to store an entire 2 hour HDTV video. Expensive technology however, at $3800, and each recordable disc will cost $30.
A few years back a 100 MB zip disc cost $20 !!! Can't wait until they've got ultraviolet laser discs, or x-ray laser discs. I wonder how much data they could cram on a CD with those?
