Re: Managing Mars/Moon dust risks

A hole with atmospheric jets blowing up might work to get most of it.

A suit designed to shed dust might help, and there might be fibers embedded which could take an electrostatic charge. An attractive grid would be waved over the suit. Might not want conductive fibers in an atmosphere with a lot of radiation, though.

Maybe a coating, something like Saran-wrap, which would stick like grim death until "released" somehow, maybe a small electric charge.

"Tacky" brushes could remove dust from the areas which couldn't have the coating.

The airlock would be a "dust room", like a "mud room" in which the suits stay. Pieces could be taken in for repair, but recharging, etc., would take place there.

Continuous positive pressure out from the lock and from the main module into the lock would also help.
