Paying the price?

Hi Marcia,

Noticed last night your bio's not up....what's up with that?

You wrote:

That's what they already do, and I don't think that the education of the future should be used to make warriors and sand eaters and destructors of innocent civilians out of them because ONE man and his cabinet has designs on a country. In effect, they are not "defending" our country, but acting as an international police force to remove those from power who don't acquiece to our financial and political demands. And screw the international community while he's doing it.

No, you BUILD something, you USE it.
Our defense industry is a BIG industry.
I might want to add that Bush pre-emptively went to war with Iraq and I am appalled and horrified that many of our fine young troops who wanted a free education and to see the world are now spitting out sand and blood in a hostile environment where HALF the population are under the age of 15......what they are are seeing is much worse that the WTC, and when it's done and over (if that's even a possibility), they will be irreparably psychologically damaged.........and not for DEFENDING our country, but going into the heart of the Middle East and trying to change it.
Americanize those damn Muslims.
Give em freedom.
Maybe they'll come back mad as hell and help to prevent future excursions into other countries.

>"If you want to pay for all those 'services', Lindy whether you need them or not, abide by whatever price is asked of you to pay........."

Wasn't it Truman who brought about all these 'services" to rebuild America after the last war?
It IS our society, and we need those services. Not all of our youth should be made to join the army
in case they're needed for a just/injust war.

>"The new frontier in our life times may not be 'experiencing space', but how we apply all of the lessons history has taught us."

Well maybe we'll end up learning many lessons from this "war", and history won't repeat itself again. Like my daughter said "War is so.....oldfashioned!"

Sorry Marcia, I didn't mean to bark at you, but your "abide by whatever price is asked of you to pay" kinda got under my skin.
I don't particularly like our new "leader", and I think he is using very dangerous politics at this time in our earth's evolution.
However, as a born again Christian, he feels he is enobled with the task to stop Armaggedon, when in fact he may just be starting it.
