On the one hand, you admit that you can't show anyone who died from the allowed arsenic levels in drinking water...

and on the other hand, you claim that lowering the limit would save "thosands of lives a year." Pray tell, how can you possibly back up that claim? Don't you realize that you just contradicted your original claim about thousands of deaths? Surely, you can do better than that. After all, it isn't all that hard to detect arsenic in an autopsy.

This seems to be a case of the "big number" theory of political lies. When someone lacks evidence to back up their claims, the tendency is to lie with big numbers.

For example, homeless advocates sometimes claim there are "3 million homeless people in America." When every census count has only shown a fraction of that number, they claim that large numbers of the homeless weren't counted. In some cases, they also worked with the homeless to get them not to participate in the count.

I remember another example from some feminists a few years ago regarding "50,000 women starving themselves to death each year" in order to be thin. The actual count was 73. Not 73,000. 73.

So, it appears you're falling for the "big number lie" because you're parroting the line that "thousands of people die each year" from those arsenic levels but can't even point to a single case. Weak. Very weak.
