Global warming is a primarily solar driven event and if mankind is to survive, some form of spacebased shielding will need to be invented.

The expense of this will be unfathomable. The time required to build it will be incredible. The lack of desire to expend the funds will make the mars foot-dragging appear like unbridled eagerness.

But believe me after you know what Phoenix is like in summer - you dont' want the whole world to be like that.

Control of our climate will be the next evolutionary step to sustaining longevity. A world where 140 degree temperatures are average in summer and 90 in winter is not the world humanity will thrive in.
