<About the Trip plot, they did go on and on about the aftermath. Maybe they are setting us up for a story about the creation of the prime directive?

Could be you're right. The timeline for "Enterprise" is before the foundation of the Federation and the Prime Directive. In other series, they mentioned the mistakes that earlier explorers had made when making contact with other civilizations as the reason why the Prime Directive was written. Sounds like this was meant to be one of them.

Over all, I've enjoyed the new series. It's refreshing to see that the technology is still in its infancy and people make honest mistakes. I have to admit, I'm kind of disappointed they're bringing out the Borg for next week's episode. Sounds like a weak story line to me, especially when considered against the other series where the Borg were introduced.
