christ, when you are wrong you are WRONG

Johannes:"If one ton of uranium can release 1.224e21 Joules of energy then 476000 tons can release 5.82624e26 Joules of energy."

R.L.: yeah, and if a girraffe could jump, pound for pound, as high as a grasshopper he'd avoid a lot of trouble.... How you got one ton of uranium can release 1.224e21 Joules I cannot imagine.... when you screw up it always seems to be by MANY orders of magnitude!

Energy content of one ton of Uranium is 7.4*10^16 joules, and that is a slow release Over eons,

The energy released would in actuality be shared by the atmosphere and the ocean...and the earth....I limited my previous calculation just to show that if you could deliver all the energy just to the air it would still take a rediculous amount- so lets get a little more realistic:

Mass of worlds oceans=1.4*10^21 kg
Heat capacity of <pure> water is 4180 J/kg*K
Do the math...

Oh, wait- your post showed you cant do math.....

5.8*10^24 Joules to heat ocean/air 1 degree

Johannes: "I am satisfied by the knowledge that radioactive isotopes in large enough quantity CAN impart enough kinetic energy to the atmospheric molecules so that they can escape from the Earth's gravitational field."

R.L. we are satisfied you are an amazing loon... YOU OBVIOUSLY have no understanding of what you talk about, yet vehemently ignore the caculations of those that do...
