I've got problems with glacier models of erosion.
The freshest and cleanest "flood" valleys do not display the morphology of glacial valleys - they are not U-shaped, do not have terminal moraines, and do not originate in cirques. Furthermore, source areas are not plausible snow-accumulation areas.
In some rare circumstances, glaciers may work, but not globally.
One of my colleagues and co-authors, Jeff Kargel, is seriously into glaciers. We disagree on this, but amicably...
