Imagine a doomed shuttle smacking into Antwerp.

Improbable of course, but not impossible.
Of course you have a better change of becoming
a Euro millionaire in a Belgian lottery than
seeing a space shuttle crash anywhere in Belgium.

But let's say[hypothetically] a 100 tonne shuttle
hits your city at Mach-3 [900-1000m/s]. That might
make a pretty big hole in downtown Antwerp.
The energy of impact would approach that of the
smallest mininukes.
