Let's look at this. I don't see any "war", against anyone. Your April, 2008 citation was about two primary candidates, not "women". Please clarify, utilizing your citations to tie Obama into a "war on women".
The hyper-feminism of the author, who is bitter about women not appreciating those more active feminists and supporting Obama, leads her to identify support of Obama as being anti-feminist. That's beyond a stretch.
Second, a 27 y/o guy who has a connection to President-elect Obama in clearly a drunken atmosphere with a life-sized cutout of Hilary. He has a hand on Hilary's breast while the guy on the other side has a beer and is kissing the cutout. A minor, tasteless prank.
There is much to-do by Republicans as to the unfairness of how that incident is regarded. This is "President-elect" Obama's speechwriter with his hand on the cardboard breast of Hilary. If Republicans had done that they would be vilified, they say.
Have you heard what the people, including yourself, were saying about Hilary? The condemnation, hate, vile accusations? Was it a "war against women"? Probably not. But then you find some drunk 27 y/o kid with a hand on a cardboard boob is that offensive?
Fast forward to your post. "Obama and the war against women". Please tell me how any of this would show that Obama was involved in any war against women.
Please flesh that out with information that since the inauguration Obama has been involved in a war against women as your post would indicate.
One guy's hand on a cardboard boom of Hilary Clinton in 2008 translates to a war on women. That's not hypocrisy, that's a pathetic stretch to make a case where there isn't one. I hope you can dig more out of your citations, because if that's the best you have, well, the words are too strong even for Flame in this new age of moderation.
Looking forward to your focused reply dealing with the issue your raised and to which I responded.
