It would have been approx two month air campaign NATO waged against Yugoslavia as a result of Milosovic's attempt at ethnic cleansing in Kosova. NATO's credibility and very unity hung in the balance as well as the stability of Europe. You think there was no national security interest for us in that???? NATO forces prevailed in that conflict despite GOP actions which undermined their effort. The GOP hated Clinton so much they would side with enemy leaders rather than support the president. This is factual history which I'm sure Clinton haters love to conveniently forget. Daschle's comments pale in comparison with the GOP's unprecendented and unpatriotic actions during the Kosova conflict.

Btw, the Chinese embasy which was "accidentally" bombed during that campaign was a hotbed for spy activity that supported Milosovic. The Chinese "reporters" who were killed were rumored to actually be spys. If the Chinese were covertly aiding Yugoslavia against our forces I'm not surprised they were bombed.
