I agree
While I have certain standards of behavior regarding things like telling the truth and honoring one's marriage vows, those aren't legal standards. However, lying to the police during a missing person investigation is a legal matter. Let any ordinary citizen lie to the police during an investigation and they'll be in big trouble. For the life of me, I can't understand how anyone would allow "public servants" to be held to a lower standard than the public.
