Wrong answers

A few observations:

- Cartoonist Dan O'Neill said something once along the lines of, "Do something stupid once, it's stupid, if you do something stupid twice, it's a philosophy."

Drowning five children, one after the other, and having to chase one down, grab him, and slowly drown the struggling little boy next to the cooling, wide-eyed corpse of his sister, falls somewhat out of the realm of "brain fart."

- There are an astonishing number of women, many under difficult circumstances, that manage to give birth without brutally murdering their entire families. However do they manage it?

- Treatment allows a woman to resume a productive, if not normal, life. She will always know, afterwards, that she has killed her baby. Lest anyone think that she has "gotten away with" something.

All murderers know that they have killed someone. Sorry, that's not sufficient punishment in my book.

- The husband's unusually mild reaction, the way this is being dealt with, the whole thing stinks of dead fish. I think, like the lady who strapped her kids into a car and backed it into a river, that there is a lot more to this than meets the eye.

- This is also being made a "cause" by the NOW, which in its current incarnation seems to put children in the same category malignant tumors (this doesn't even begin to touch what they think of men.) Had Yates not lived in our Horrible Patriarchal Society, had not been deprived of the constant free medical care that is our right, and not been forced to actually (ugh!) stay home and care for children, this would not have happened. Other NOW-types are now racing to her defence, eager to prove that women forced to participate in the torment of reproduction to which their sex is eternally cursed are excused for almost any action they may commit.

I offer this article without further comment.

- It will be interesting to see what these same people say when they catch the male bastard out here who knifed his family to death. "Poor man, if only he'd had his medicine?" Don't think so.
