You're very right, Mary Anne,
There are cases of families who lost a child (as he dissapeared one day) and it's awful. For year and years, they cannot mourn, cannot turn the page. This problem has resurrected after the pedophile scandals.
But they get organized and more children are found back and faster than ever before (special phone lines, etc..).
