Most other schools canceled their night classes but we were open. There's no way in hell that I'm going to let those bastards dictate my life. My flag is flying outside my home this morning as well.

As I pause to remember the victims and their families, my heart goes out to the emergency personnel who've been confronting this tragedy for over 24 hours now. They're facing carnage the likes of which we can't even imagine, knowing all the while that over 250 of their comrades are missing and probably dead in the collapses. This search and cleanup operation will likely take weeks, perhaps months to complete. This is on a vastly bigger scale than the rescue operations in Oklahoma City. When tragedy strikes, heros step forward.
