As you've probably found out by now, I'm posting this from Cleveland.

Dan? I have to repeat this!...I have never dissed or disparaged the United States
armed-forces...I have friends who were in the US military, including some friends
I met from Ft. Lewis, Washington, in 1984 [who were in the Ranger battalion] and took part
in Operation "Just Cause" in 1989...And I have a friend from Iowa who was in
"Operation Desert Storm" and [an awful coincidence] crossed paths with Timothy
McVeigh.
This morning, Dan, I crossed paths with a US Navy recruit, at the "Holiday Inn",
next to Ohio State highway #8 [between Akron & Cleveland], and I encouraged him
by telling him to "got get them!"....There are US aircraft-carriers in the Persian Gulf
and Arabian Sea right now.

It's a shame I didn't have a chance THIS TIME AROUND to visit the NASA Lewis Research
Center, here [It's shut down, except for essential employees]...But, God willing, I'll
visit it the NEXT TIME I'm down here....No terrorist is going to rob me of these
opportunities.
