I'd be willing to bet any amount that we will have more than enough enlistments to swamp the existing induction/training infrastructure.

If this thing needs a lot of new American divisions, over time, maybe we will reinstate the draft.

If we fight a good fight, against the right people, our spirit will not falter. If we flail around in countries where we are unwanted, with little to show for the sacrifice, then certainly the public will resist at some point. That's just democracy at work.

If this is a long-term commitment then it is VITAL that our goals are more clearly defined and obtainable than "ending terrorism".

It remains to be seen whether we will take a WWII approach or a Viet Nam approach.

It's way to early to fret about this, though.
