Well,
Tom covered what a socialist is pretty well...so I'll leave that be.
I am an infinitist. I apply scientific energy principles to life which allows one to peer behind surface appearances and choose to act according to the most intelligent understanding or option available to me.
I have compassion for all - I understand the socialist theory - which seems more compassionate - has inherent flaws in practice.
I pin my hopes on evolving capitalism which takes care of the have nots by marketing in 'spectra'. This system also puts a greater stress on folks to evolve. The law of the jungle will never disappear completely - and folks must recognize this - whatever their affiliations or beliefs.
As for government systems - I ideally I would prefer a base-rate fundamental consciousness frequency scan to determine position qualification.* This is a long way off for now and so we will have less intelligent governments based upon popularity. Which presently has the result of blending all views and intelligence levels into a political equivalent of mud.
So be it.
Best wishes,
SDAI-Tech1
(*On an evolving scale - this is the ultimate IQ test because it takes ALL things a person has absorbed, emotional evolvement, intelligence, past actions etc. - into account. Not some test designed by some scholar which would end up being biased)
