It is a good piece and it clears up something for me.

I have been very troubled by the contentiousness that has been present here recently. Why do I find myself being angered and making angry people that I have conversed with for nearly three years? The fact that they are liberal or conservative has never been an issue to me, why should it be now?

Well, it is clear to me now. I will never invoke the L word here again. Pacifism is the beast. I have no intention to be uncivil to anyone but anyone that is a pacifist in the face of what has happened is an enemy to me, my first and only wife of nearly forty years, my five children and my seven grandchildren.

I am not accusing anyone here of being a pacifist. I think there has been too much attention to political labels up to this point so everybody starts with a clean slate.

Politics be damned, if you want peace at any price, I pity you.
