Current Events » in reply to Pacifism--another opinion

good read. . .

its basically a value I grew up with. Not that I am about to make anything more clear than the writer of the article, I would like to add that physically getting somehting done is the base of all aciton. When dealing with humans this is still true. You can ask then to do something or you can make them do something by physically forcing them. This can be a problem with stronger imposing will upon the weaker so we develop laws and a police force to prevent this from being abused. (and note that it is abused the police physically take you away). However when you are outside these laws, on an international level, where there are no babby sitters orpolice to call on, and you must exhert the force yourself and hope you can overcome that force of those against. This is the position we are in now. It is to the point where some people are physically trying to kill us and bring down our economy, government and way of life. Do we let them do this, or do we push back?

One interesting point though, if someone says "its our fault' we should not assume that they mean this as an excuse to not act. Someone could say that it is all our fault but still ntend to fight get it over with and use our fault as a guidline not to cause it again. . . . not that I neccessarily think this is our fault.
