As Dan used to so precisely put it when james would post on MSNBC:
"Don't bother. Nothing new here." (Referring to the article)
Any one of the usual gang of leftists could have phoned this Time article in, and I don't want to waste time picking all of it apart.
Just a few minor points:
--A lot fewer people would be starving in Iraq if Saddam was building fewer palaces...48 since the Gulf War...or maybe he thinks this is a great employment program.
--The entire oil economy including technology was handed to the Arabs on a silver platter by the U.S. and others. Some other nations might have just decided to take over the area, keep all the oil, and the Arabs would be working on oil rigs instead of living in palaces.
--Much of Afghanistan is living off of food and supplies given them by the Great Satan. 90 percent comes from America. We are still piping this stuff in to help people who have murdered us in return.
One of the biggest mistakes a person--or nation--can make is to assume that just because someone hates them, it means they must have done something wrong.
