I have not heard anything definite
One of the network news broadcasts last night suggested the Saudis may be showing hesitation in public to provide cover for themselves against their own Islamic extremists. If, as seems likely, we do end up using the base, it will appear that the Saudis only allowed it due to intense American pressure. I can live with that. This may be one of those circumstances where what is said in public is very different from what is said in private for very sound reasons. The last thing we need right now is for extremists to start disrupting the flow of oil in Saudi Arabia.
