In all honesty, during the time I spent in an African Muslim country I never witnessed this kind of sexual repression and sociopathic behaviour. However, this was a very tolerant Muslim society, like Turkey, where women didn't cover themselves with the chador, and alcohol was even allowed in some public bars for consumption. Not at all strict like some Middle Eastern countries, or the Arabic countries in northern Africa, about whom I have indeed heard some of these stories. One guy even described to me the time he visited Algeria and witnessed a man attemting to have sex with a mule. And I'm sure we've all heard the joke about the Arab and his camel...one hump or two?
