You are right. Racial profiling alone is ridiculous and is not profiling it is racism.
Race is just one factor in the profile. Unfortunately, some see any inclusion of race as fundamentally wrong and like many of the current zero tolerance policies of school administrators it fails to recognize the ability and/or willingness of reasonable people to tell the difference in right and wrong.
