Exactly my point.
911 was not a failure where terrorists carried guns & bombs on board.
The approach armed pilots, strong cabin doors and sky marshalls will work. That's the REAL airline security we need. The National Guard at the airports is mostly just for public consumption, although ground security certainly HAS to be good enuf to keep guns & bombs off the planes.
The passenger cabin crew cannot be armed; they can too easily be disarmed.
