Re: It's a sensational question . . .

. . . direct from our sensationalizing press.

They remain human. They should be returned to their families. If they are looked on as heroes and enshrined, then they are heroically enshrined. Fretting about the maybes is no way to live through reality. We need to dispose of the remains and move on. We have a war to win, remember?

The posed question is really just plain stupid, and one that only a reporter could see as a possible hot-bed of journalistic enquiry, doubtless hoping to bolster his own drooping ratings (after all, everybody who writes anything worth reading is already in Afghanistan, chewing on jerked donkey).

We are America, and we do try to do what's right -- every time. Anything less would be -- wrong. We do what we would wish done with a member of our own family in such a tragedy. We would want them back with us, or, failing this, we would wish for a ceremony befitting the belief of the fallen.

It’s only right,
Dan
